Kanthari Mulaku Chammanthy

This is a typical Kanthari Mulaku Chammanthy made of freshly plucked Kanthari Mulaku from our backyard and other ingredients like small onions (Chuvanna Ulli), Valan puli, Salt, and Coconut Oil. It is irresistable with Kanji, steamed Kappa, various other Kerala dishes as per your wish....

Mukhang masarap yan, a...I think all of the ingredients are available here in the Philippines, so I think there's no problem cooking it, except if you don't give me the direction of cooking it.

Kabayan,
Good to hear from the Philippines. I had many friends from there. One of them Roy Riviera a big fat guy who loved Indian food or for that matter any kind of food...
Umm... for the recipe details, take 10-15 Chillis, 3-5 bulbs of red small onion, and some green tamarind with skin and seeds removed. Grind them and add Coconut oil and salt to taste.
Excellent with your Fish. Can add the Fish sauce as well to make it a Filipino delicacy.

For the Chilli lovers from Philippines, this dish is excllent with Tapioca steamed with a little salt. In Kerala, we eat it with rice porridge or the steamed Tapioca.
It is mouth watering and if you eat more you will experience hell fire inside.

Another great recipe with Kanthari Mulagu as main ingredient. It has equal amounts of Kanthari Mulagu, Garlic, Curry Leaves all made into paste or chutney. Add some Olive oil and salt. This is a good medicine to reduce Cholesterol, Blood Pressure etc. Kanthari Mulagu is very good agent to bring down Cholestrol, Garlic to reduce BP and good for digestion, Curry leaves, a good antiseptic and good for hair growth and many other ailments. It is very delicious and good for either rice dishes or chappathi. Try it..!!
