This blog is a platform to publish my experiments with cooking. It also incorporates my organic farming ventures at home. It is high time we discard the toxic and adulterated food and go back to mother nature and find more edible plants and fruits which are not preferred by the present generation. We are also bringing out a self invented recipe of healthy and delicious fresh cut Veg. Salads and Soups which can be tried by anyone for a change.

WE HAVE TO CHANGE THE WATER FREQUENTLY OR USE ANY FILTERS IN PADUTHAKULAM ?
Sorry for the late reply. No need to change water frequently unless there is algae or green layer on top. Keep water aerated or add fresh water to make up the loss by evaporation etc. Use pellet feed to minimise the waste accumulation
Kindly answer the following
1. Well water to be used ?
2. Can we use borewell water
3. Do we get such large size silpaulin sheets . if it is of smaller
size can we join two pieces together . any chances of leakage
4. Do we have to cover the pond with net .
5. The sides of the pond , should we increase the height
6. How do we avoid snakes , birds and other small animals entering the pond .
please reply

Does fishes thilopia/ gift cut open the sheet...?
Well water can be used. Even Bore well water, Pipe Water (KWA) etc. Technically you have to check the PH level of water to grwo fish. Ideal is around 7 to 8 or 9 PH. But you can grow fish in any type of clean water. It is a trail and error method if you are not doing it commercially. Silpaulin sheets are available in various sizes and gsm. Large sheets of 36 x 24 feet are ideal for home padutha kulam. You have to cover the pond with net to ward off birds, snake, cat etc. Usually the fish does not damage the PVC sheet. But they bite and nibble on it sometimes. For more details call me George 9895039531. Check out my Youtube Video KIZOA on the subject
