This blog is a platform to publish my experiments with cooking. It also incorporates my organic farming ventures at home. It is high time we discard the toxic and adulterated food and go back to mother nature and find more edible plants and fruits which are not preferred by the present generation. We are also bringing out a self invented recipe of healthy and delicious fresh cut Veg. Salads and Soups which can be tried by anyone for a change.

Plavila Thoran or Jackfruit Leaves Curry
We just tried the Plavila Thoran recipe published in Malayala Manorama. It came up excellent. In our dish, Moong Dal was in excess but it tasted perfect. 3 Cheers for Chakka/Jackfruit leaves Thoran
Plavila or Jack Fruit leaves are usually fed to Goats in Kerala. It was not meant to eat by humans. But thanks to the Malayala Manorama feature on Plavila Thoran and the recipe shared by a lady from Kottayam. I tried it and I loved the curry. I heard of Srilankans and Thai people eating Plavila or Jack Fruit leaves. Sri Lankans make Bhajji with Plavila just like we make Kaya Bhajji etc. Dip a tender leaf in Kadala Mavu batter and fry in Oil. The recipe shown here is made with Cheru payar. But we can try it even with Van payar or Kadala etc. as per our imagination and taste.
