Kolaan or Garfish and also known as Needle fish and Half beak in other countries is a nostalgic fish for Mallus. Generally seen in the Kole fields/Paddy fields, this Silver grey fish is very tasty especially when prepared with Kol Puli or raw Tamarind. This is what we are going to do with this Fish. Fish Curry with Tamarind is a nostalgic dish of Kerala. Combine it with the Fresh water fish Koolaan. The resulting Meen Curry will make any Mallu go crazy. See the pictures above....
