Pavakka or Karela Masala for Chappathi

Karela Masala deep dried in oil with Onions and tomato. Pavakka or Bitter gourd is usually bitter and hence not eaten usually in Kerala for Chappathi as a curry. But this home made Karela masala is too good. Fried with Onions, Chilli and Tomatoes with a hint of Sugar, it is not that bitter and tastes very good.

Kili Njaval Fruit Juice Shoe Button Ardisia Juice

Shoe button Ardisia or Ardisia Elliptica known locally as Kili Njaval in Kerala is a very small beautiful purple black coloured fruit like Jamun. It is called Kili Njaval because birds usually eat the fruit and is not eaten by humans because it is small and has hardly any flesh. But I made a juice out of it and it is much like Jamun and tastes the same. Very refreshing indeed.

Upon opening the shell, the kernel is similar to cashew nut and tastes like groundnut.

This soup has a pinch of turmeric only as an additive. Fully organic and healthy soup. You can add salt pepper etc. To your taste.I boiled the veggies for half an hour.

Organic Shallots and Broccoli Soup

Soups comes in different names, flavours and taste. But they will be seasoned with many additives and thus renders a yummy taste. Here is a Shallot Broccoli soup which is prepared at home from Organically grown Shallots, Broccoli, Green Chillies, Bird's Eye Chilli etc. Its taste is not so yummy because of the absence of additives. But it is very healthy and packed with numerous rejuvenating elements.
